Subject: 9803/Amend CCC/Petty Cash Date: Thu, 17 May 1990 11:50:00 -0500 ORDINANCE NO. 9803 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHATTANOOGA CITY CODE, PART II, SECTION 2-350 RELATING TO PETTY CASH FUNDS HELD BY CERTAIN OFFICIALS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, that Chattanooga City Code, Part II, Sections 2-350 be and the same is hereby amended by deleting said section in its entirety and inserting a new section in lieu thereof as follows: Sec. 2-350. Petty cash funds. The Mayor and every other official who has the responsibility of expending an appropriation is hereby authorized to maintain a petty cash fund not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100.00) from which purchases or payments may be made not to exceed ten dollars ($10.00) each, and receipts shall be attached to the warrant voucher replenishing or reimbursing the petty cash fund, provided, that the City Treasurer is hereby authorized to maintain a petty cash fund not to exceed two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) from which purchases or payments may be made not to exceed ten dollars ($10.00) each, and receipts shall be attached to the warrant voucher replenishing or reimbursing the petty cash fund. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this ordinance shall take effect two (2) weeks from and after its passage as required by law.
